Not bad

I'm wondering if the people who don't like the game didn't read about the column remover, lol. It's quite a useful feature, basically a lifesaver ;) I'll have to check that video out some time and come back for the harder medals. The game concept isn't necessarily totally original, but it's a nice twist on it I think.

The drawings for the pieces looked pretty good, and the little animations were a nice touch. The sounds were appropriate and the music was okay to me. Keep up the good work.

lol

Not a bad game, Tom. Pretty entertaining, and I didn't think it was overly easy to beat the whole thing without taking a single hit. Stressful at least, lol. I'd rather have it be a bit on the easy side anyway.

The drawings were great, and the animations were pretty much flawless. The sounds were funny, and the music fit the submission well. Not to mention the whole concept of pissing on a poop monster is just ridiculous. Funny though. Keep up the good work, Tom.

Nice

Not a bad game at all really, just a tad bit repetitive. I ended up getting every single one of those wonderful medals you added ;) The music is a bit strange, but I got used to it after a while. I guess the whole game is kinda strange though really...Pretty original design. The art isn't totally amazing but it's definitely pretty good. The animation is all really smooth, and I didn't find a single bug or glitch. Everything works just perfect.

Overall an enjoyable experience. Keep up the good work - I look forward to seeing another installment.

Well I just got done beating the entire game and getting all the medals for it, and I have to say, anything less than a 10 would be crazy. The game is pretty awesome. I like the combat style quite a bit. It's super long and took me at least a few hours to get through most of it. I somehow managed to get through the crazy maze on the last part without looking at a guide to beat it originally. I looked it up afterwards to find all the rooms, I didn't even notice that was written on the wall, lol.

All the art was good, but I think it's all krinkels. The animation was prettty smooth throughout. The music and sound effects were good, no complaints there really.

The only flaws I really noticed were:

1. Being that you can shoot your own teammates. I know this was intended but I can't even remember how many times I had a machine gun out and killed my own guy because it's such a pain in the ass to move around. Removing that simple game mechanic would have made gameplay far more enjoyable and less frustrating.

2. On the final boss battle, two separate times I ended up in a permanent smoke environment even though no smoke had been thrown. Every attack would miss both ways and I never had to throw any smoke for this reason, but it was also extremely hard for me to hit anybody as well.

3. The "saucys" as I believe they're called, don't change weapons when the person who originally had that weapon died. You're pretty much just screwed at that point and just have to kill yourself.

Other than those three things I found the game rather enjoyable. Parts of it were pretty funny, and it wasn't really stressful but just fun to play. Keep up the good work!

lol

Killmyself is awesome. Best prank caller in the history of man. Most people here probably don't know about his epic youtube calls, but I'll give you a 10 just for principle. The soundboard could use some serious work though. A lot of the sound clips aren't high quality and I know there's high quality versions out there so that's a bit of laziness on your part. The graphic design of it just looks bad too.

In my opinion, killmyself deserves a much better soundboard as this one really doesn't do him justice. Get some better clips, and design a better layout. I think it would probably work better if the clips were sequenced with what prank call they came from in order. Maybe, maybe not, but it's an idea. The layout it has currently just doesn't really look that great.

Well, hopefully you take some of the criticism to heart though, but for sure a 10 for a fellow killmyself fan. He's a comedic genius, lol.

Huh?

Not sure why this game is getting bad reviews, especially one from a NG regular like pox. I thought the game was really fun. Controls are super simple, doesn't get much easier than arrow keys and a fire button. Game wasn't too hard either, but the medals are challenging enough. The art was all great, and all the sound effects in the game were totally appropriate, not to mention the music track was awesome. Concept was hilarious too. Good work on this, keep it up.

Nice

It's a great concept but in my opinion way too hard to be enjoyable. I mean, the kind of precision mouse movements that it require are just crazy and that coupled with the health and random spawning of stars and seekers is just too much. I suppose if I really wanted to sit here for hours and get good at the game I could, but I just really don't feel like exerting that kind of effort on a flash game. I may come back for some medals later but the way I see it I use a mouse all day...I'm always on the computer and I can barely get past a million so I don't see the average person getting much enjoyment out of this.

The art is all great though. The menu screen is nice and I'm glad you added so many medals because if you didn't I probably wouldn't be playing it at all. The music is pretty fitting and the sound effects are great. It's also a totally original idea the way I see it. The physics of the game feel great too. I didn't really have any issues with control, just the fact that health is so limited and things are spawning left and right while at the same time I have seekers following me around is just crazy. I think most of the times I died was because a blue star spawned underneath me.

Great game though, keep up the good work.

Nice

Not a bad game at all really. I ended up killing way too many people though, lol. I suppose that adds an interesting challenge to the game, and gives it good replay value to try and unlock the medals. The music and sound effects were very fitting. I think all the art in the game was done very well. It looks very convincing and it's easy to get wrapped up in.

Keep up the good work.

Woah

Fro's review hit the nail on the head and it's going to be hard to review this without mentioning what he already said. I noticed the text was also a bit lame. I know you can download free fonts that would look much better on some buttons. Even bolding and capitalizing would make them look a lot better.

This is much the same as the last portal radio I reviewed and it is a useful tool, but like you said in the 'suggestions' area, most of the coolest stuff would have to be done in AS3. I think you should get around to doing that because you really can't make these much better without it.

A minigame would be really cool, even just a basic mini audiosurf or space shooter, just anything. If you had a high score table that would be even more crazy. Like seriously cool. Personally I'd be happy with just some spectrum visualizers, but a minigame would be totally sweet and over the top.

Narrowing down the searches is also a FANTASTIC idea, as I really would like to only hear a genre, or maybe couple of genres at a time. I'd certainly consider this if at all possible.

The cube was a nice addition, but it was really only fun to mess with for about 20 seconds and then when you figure out that it does nothing is pretty much pointless.

The main thing I would focus on for the next version if you REALLY want to make this amazing is to improve on those features with AS3. Narrowing down what's playing should be considered, and I also think you should take some time on the radio interface itself so that it's very graphically pleasing. I hope this review helps. Keep up the good work!

Yes I know but I prefer to keep this text and also keep changing fonts is always a crap thing because if you fix some things here and send back to the author he need the font too, if he don't have will be changed (as happened to this one).

Don't you think that do a NG Radio is an amazing thing possible with AS2? Plus, I don't want to be a programmer, if I would like to be one I would upgrade to AS3 because he is more to the OOP side and is much more similar and natural to other programming languages.

Spectrum visualizers codes doesn't exist for AS1-AS2, because they added a new function which does it:
SoundMixer.ComputeSpectrum() / this doesn't have on the language I code on
Also where I would have space to the put the game?

Thanks for appreciate this for 20 seconds while I had to program this by weeks.

Ok. Thanks for like.

Hmm

Honestly, I can't even continue to play this game. FAR too many glitches. I'm not using IE either. Where do I even begin.

There's no invulnerability for even a SECOND after you get hit, so usually instead of just taking one damage, it glitches or you can't get out and either totally die, or lose WAY more health then you rightfully should.

The level select screen is toast. I can't get it to work at all. It just randomly selects the same level no matter what I click, or if I click at all. It's like it gives you 1 second and then just picks level 3 or something. What's up with that?

Certain aspects of levels would change randomly...regardless of if I had done anything. I started a level once, and a bridge was down, so I kept running. The next few times I started the bridge was up for some reason, with no button to activate it and no way I could even continue leaving suicide the only option.

The second secret is glitched. I even googled a walkthrough. I knew how to get it, and had done so twice before. The door won't open.

This exact same music was in escape from Pico's school so not really all that original and gets old really fast, especially with this many glitches and terrible gameplay.

I'm sorry but playing this was just not an enjoyable experience for me at all. Far too many issues that I'm seeing need fixed. I like the concept for the game, and it looks like a decent amount of effort was put into creating these levels, but like I said before I doubt I'll play this again or recommend this to anyone ever.

I develop stuff.
