Nice

Well it's not hard to see that you were passionate about making this song and put a lot of effort and research into it. It shows and I think it pays off quite well. The guitar part at the beginning is interesting, and very foreign sounding, but interesting nonetheless.

When the actual song starts it sounds much fuller and complete obviously. I think maybe a small transition from these two stages would have been nice...

The vocal was interesting for sure, that's you? Great job, sounds very well mixed in.

The piece was well mixed and well planned, and certainly does sound very foreign. A few things I can't quite explain keep me from giving this a 10, mainly probably because it's strange and foreign to me, but I do think it was very well done.

Keep up the great work.

About a transition from the sanshin opening to the rest of the song: I had not thought of that at all. Woah... That just made me think of several things I could do with this once the contest is over, but I doubt I will do them.

Oh shit, I thought that the way I mixed the vox was a little off myself, but I'm glad to hear that someone likes it.

About the strangeness: Ah, nahh. Generally, all my songs have something strange about them. Thanks for the review!

Great

Love house, and this is good. The beat sounds very original and fresh. Was the don't stop ripped off from ATB?

The rest of the beat is very good sounding, but needs to be much longer, as the :45 second clip gets stale quite quickly. Extend this and it'll be golden for sure.

The main synth is bouncy sounding and catchy. The percussion sounds original and fits the melody well, it's just wayyyy to short.

Haha, this is my highest rating from you :P
I'm not sure about the don't stop, I got it off Vengeance Vocal Essentials.
I'm glad you like it =D I'll continue it right now =D

Dude...

I've been looking for a new CPU cooler online for the past half hour and I totally spaced off the fact that this loop has been playing THE ENTIRE TIME.

Wow, lol. I'm surprised I could handle it for that long. It's actually pretty calming and uplifting. Tis the sound of progress ;)

Other than extending this, I don't really have any criticism for you. It sounds great, just make it a lot longer.

Keep up the amazing work.

Not bad

I've never been into the happy hardcore rave stuff, but it sounds like you've got a good beat going. It's very upbeat and fast tempo which is exactly what you'd want. It doesn't sound choppy and flows pretty well.

Not sure what else I could say about this, it sounds good so far, just extend it. The main problem I see is that it's too short, but what you have already works well.

Keep hammering away at it.

Decent

It's a good start, but really the clip is just under a minute long and doesn't really go through many changes in melody. It's just the same rhythm over and over so it gets stale really fast.

It has a funky sound to it, which is good, but it sounded a bit choppy too. I think you could certainly work on making it flow a bit better instead of sounding so....chopped...and not chopped in a good way, like chopped in a low quality way.

Like I said though it's a great start. The percussion is cool, I just think you should extend it and switch it up a bit.

Keep at it.

DXsamurai responds:

thanks for the review, i wiil try to switch it up.

Love it

Honestly, I fucking love it. The bass line is disgusting, and although I would have never guessed that Willy Wonka would work well in a song, you pulled it off.

I think the chick screaming was a bit ridiculous and uncalled for, but other than that I'd feel bad not giving this a 10 because I thoroughly enjoyed it ;) The atmospheric noises at the beginning are sick, and the percussion is sick. This is indeed one of the sickest tracks I've heard on NG and it's mostly due to that dirty bass line. Every part of it was just awesome, and I can tell you've improved this vastly from the other version I listened to, and I like the changes a lot.

The "you get....NOTHING!" is pretty hilarious as well, lol. Fantastic work m8, keep it up.

Downloaded. 5/5. 10/10. Faved.

Awesome

I love the mix, from the piano at the beginning, the mild tempo percussion after that, all the way into the crazy IDM elements.

The melody progression seems to flow well, although I think you could have cleaned up the sound of the percussion a bit. At times the percussion sounds a bit low quality, but other than that I really don't have any other criticism for it.

Great tune overall. Keep up the amazing work.

Thank you for reviewing my request

I really love it when you guys review for the people :)

also, I think the drums sound a little bit low quality due to the Massive amounts of effects I've put on them. I'll try to find a way to lessen the spam lol.

Very good

Pretty epic sounding indeed. It sounds like it would fit very well into a movie. The percussion was mixed very well and has a professional sound to it. It has a very powerful feel to it, very uplifting.

You're a fantastic composer. I have literally no criticism for this song. The only way I think it could have been better was if it was longer and had an even more epic climax to it. I mean, there's always room for improvement, but as a piece the way it stands, it's fantastic.

Keep up the great work.

EagleGuard responds:

Haha, thanks for the compliments. I think longer doesn't always mean better. I prefer not to make my songs any longer than 4 minutes. That way, the song doesn't get boring/repetitive after a while.

Thanks for the review!

Not bad

As usual, your composition is fantastic, however, I must be honest with you. I've noticed that a lot of your compositions have a tendency of sounding too generic. I'm not sure if it's just the software you use or what, but the instruments you use always SOUND computer generated, and to me that's their biggest downfall in my personal opinion. If you could find some better instruments I would honestly find your music far more pleasant, as your composition skills are excellent.

Now that that's out of the way, the song here is great. It flows very smoothly and sounds very calming - almost sounds like a 16 bit song to me lol. Other than the fact that it totally sounds computer generated, the melody is great. I like the song name as well :)

Keep up the good work.

camoshark responds:

Thanks alot for the nice review!

Thanks for the nice words, goes right to my heart. :)

The reason why they sound so generic sounding is because I don't use a sequencer to write my pieces, rather a notation software, wich doesn't really let me choose the sounds, since it can only use the sounds generated by the computer, since he's the one playing it.

Other than that, thanks again for all the nice words!

Not bad

I enjoyed listening to the melodies, but I did hear a few mixing issues especially in the beginning. It seemed to level out later in the song for some reason though.

Idk about it being action music as tempo doesn't quite seem fast enough for that to me. I think you could certainly use a bit more volume on the drums though. The bass and guitar sounded alright to me, it just needs a tad bit more drum. (More cowbell!)

The song was actually quite long which was nice, and it didn't seem to get stale throughout the whole song.

As for the theme, Victory seemed to be an appropriate title in my opinion. It seems like a victory song, and not an actual fight song to me. The tempo and intensity for an actual fight just doesn't seem to be there for me - this strikes me as the moment of glory after the fight is over for reasons I can't really seem to explain, lol. I think if you sped up the drums though it would probably get more of that mood.

Fantastic intro btw. Good tune overall. Keep up the great work.
