Dude wow...

I was playing Minecraft and it really felt like this was the actual music in the game...like it went so perfectly...wow....

This is a beautiful melody. The piano has a great sound to it, and the notes flow really well together.

I also liked the fact that it was so quiet. It was just so peaceful to listen to in the background at low volume. It wasn't blaring obnoxiously at all. What a beautiful piece...the only criticism I have is that it seemed to end rather abruptly. If the song was longer or had a more subtle ending I think it would be a lot better.

Keep up the amazing work.

Ah, I've never actually played Minecraft myself, been trying to get around to buying a copy when I have time. Yea, I agree with the ending. It was a bit abrupt, ran out of idea by then. I've been considering redoing this with more than just the piano though, so maybe I'll go back and do some changes.

lol

I like the guy's review below me, "master chief shooting" lol. Like the song has any reference or anything to do with Halo, lol. Not going to lie though, it would be rather appropriate.

The beginning is subtle yet powerful, and does a great job building up to the main melody. The percussion sounds well mixed with the brass. The percussion itself actually is very good.

The ending is melodic and beautiful, albeit a bit premature in my opinion, well done. The only thing that I noticed it that it's a bit short. Other than wishing it was longer, it's a great piece. Keep up the great work.

GronmonSE responds:

Yeah, I've noticed that the main criticism is how short the song is. I should probably expand is someday.

Thanks for the kind words and the review!

Awesome

So I just turned this on in the background and started playing Minecraft...it's amazing how well it fit. I was burrowing underground farther and farther and it's like the guy was walking and mining to the beat. Pretty funny actually...

The melody is very soothing and somewhat energetic as well. It's like a peaceful trance song, and the percussion sounds professionally mixed. The bass line, main synth, and percussion are mixed together very well and no one instrument comes off as being obnoxiously overpowered at all.

A great track overall, keep up the great work.

Great

A great dnb track! Almost more of a chill dnb track but I love it. I'm glad it's 5 minutes long too. Definitely a great listen. I've had it playing while messing around in Minecraft, and I must admit I like it quite a bit. Downloaded. 5/5 9/10. Keep up the great work.

Not bad

Not a bad song really...the threesome part kinda pisses me off a bit, but that's a long story, lol. Kinda got screwed over on one recently...fucking women...

Anyway the song is musically good. The trippy synth melody is good, and the percussion carries the melody well. The bass doesn't seem like anything extraordinarily special, but it works.

Probably the highlight of this song is the vocals. Not many songs on NG feature artists who do vocals. The lyrics are interesting to say the least, but the actually vocals sound good. They fit the beat really well. The music style isn't really my cup of tea, but it does sound good. I'd give it an 8.5 if I could. Keep up the great work.

Oh, and you should post the lyrics in the author comments.

HardcoreClimax responds:

We'll put the lyrics up for you!

The vocal style for this song is completely different from all of our previous work, and we plan to continue this style into future songs. This is actually the last song we recorded.

Thanks for your time and review!

Well the singing isn't bad really. She seems to hit all the notes pretty well and her voice is pretty good if you ask me. The only thing this is missing is some nice background music as it's rather bland the way it sits. I mean if you really wanted it to sound perfect you could edit this and get rid of the noises when you breathe. (*i move away from the mic to breathe in)

Other than that I really don't have much criticism for it. Singing is good, edit it if you wish, add some sweet music, and this will be very good.

Flash-MX responds:

Hey! Thanks for the review. I'll upload another song later with some vocals on top of an instrumental and will submit another RRC request. Thanks again! Let me know if you need me to do anything for points.

Nice

Not a bad tune at all. The intro was done really well in my opinion and the song flowed really good. All of the percussion work was to my liking - quick yet controlled. Not quite IDM style, but borderline at times, lol.

The bass line was great and went with the main synth melody well. I can see a couple points where I'm thinking you want to clean up the mixing, but it doesn't sound to bad so far.

The speed up feel that the melody had a couple times was a great idea, and I think you pulled it off well. The song is pretty long too, and I actually left it on repeat for a while whilst editing some photos and totally forgot I was going to review it ;) It's easy to listen to and doesn't get obnoxious fast at all.

Zerest is a good guy, had a few PM convos with him and I like his tunes quite a bit. His piano melody sounds great ;) It's cool to see you two helping each other with songs too. I think you both have great styles and tons of potential. Keep up the great work.

As far as constructive criticism goes, I got nothin. You guys are so much better at making music than me I'd feel like an ass to even criticize anything xD No but really, it sounds great so far and I'd love to hear the finished and polished product.

Dj-GST responds:

Thanks man.

Glad you like the bassline, it took me forever to make a suitable one.

Yeah, tempo build up is sweet :P

Yeah, he is a good guy. I've known him since Grade 9 lol. Alot of our individually made tracks we send over to each other whilst they're still in the making, so the other can point out the flaws that need to be fixed. Every track I have on here he's listened to before anybody else :P

Sweet man, I'll send it over to you when I'm done, it wont be for awhile though.

Nice

Pretty ridiculous sounding and catchy. I had no other choice to start bouncing around mindlessly at the insanity of the beat.

One part disturbs me however. The synth at :58 sounds too distorted if you ask me. The rest of the song is great, but when everything comes together at that point it just sounds awfully distorted and almost low quality at that point. If you cleaned that up a bit I think you'd have yourself a solid 10 tune.

Overally very catchy though. Love the fast paced percussion and catchy notes on the main synth melody. Keep up the good work.

i9incher responds:

thanks man. yeah I might go back and edit that and then re-upload it. I'm still trying to figure out how to do that cuss I still sorta want it to be semi distorted but not so much that when you crank the volume that it just sounds muffled. I might check some tutorials on youtube to figure it out though. I'm glad you like my stuff though and I will be sure to try and make more awesome songs like this in the future as this was my first song I made with the intent of using it in clubs/ on the radio.

Not bad

Not bad seeing as how you were going for a middle-east sound. I think you pulled it off quite well, as it really has the regional sound to me. As it plays I can already imagine myself on a camel riding in the hot desert, lol.

It's not anything I'd listen to voluntarily, but the quality is there. I can tell that you put a decent amount of work into it and it does sound good, it's just that I don't usually jam out to middle-eastern tunes on my iPod, if you get what I mean, lol.

Not a bad piece though, just wish it was a bit longer. I'm interested to see what you come up with for the other regions. Keep up the good work.

-RRC-

camoshark responds:

Thanks for the review!

Not much to say here, it'll sound longer when the regions are put together, in some sort of medley or something...

Thanks again!

Cheers,

Extremely appropriate

Well, there's nothing really extraordinary about it, but it certainly fits upgrading your slingshot and stuff before another wave of catgame =)

Well done.
