Wow

This song is truly amazing. The beginning is so subtle and beautiful sounding...and then from there it progresses into something really magical.

I absolutely love this, and I'm downloading it now. Keep up the good work.

DjRin responds:

=] I am humbled by your praise, friend.

You know, if you like this, I have a track called Into the Sun. Kinda different vibe (a bit more uplifting) but you should definitely give it a listen. Then again, any of my stuff is up for listening too.

You got anything you want me to listen to, lemme know!

Hmm

Well the first, 30 seconds were strange. The next entire minute was kinda boring and sounded strange. After that it seems like you added some creepy static, and then a lot of the sounds in the beginning that repeated so long were cut out. Almost relieving. Sounds like you added some church bells at the very end. I didn't like the high pitches towards the beginning of the song at all. Way too shrill, but the second half of the song really seems to capture the creepy mood. I mean, I'm typing in my room in the dark and I half expect to look over and see a dead body or something.

Overall it's a pretty creepy sounding track, I could see it being used it a scary flash game, but nothing I'd ever listen to in the car or ipod.

Handym responds:

I can definitely see where you're coming from, this was way back before i had any real musical experience whatsoever so yea it's not exactly my best creation.
i appreciate the input though, so thanks anyway

Woah

I'm getting stereo raped in my headphones right now, and listening to a bunch of interesting noises....

Okay I like where you introduced the bass quite a bit. The notes you chose for this are pretty good. Fantastic piano work here.

Okay 3:15 was pretty sick. Now I'm listening to what sounds like a warped guitar solo or something. Doesn't sound all that moving though...the whole track really isn't all that moving to be honest. I can hear the effort that went into this, and how you placed all the notes sounds good, it's just not really all that moving to me. I'll still give you a 9/10 just for pure effort and sound, but this isn't something I'd ever listen to voluntarily.

RetromanOMG responds:

Understood. Still, it's nice that you liked it the one time you listened, lol.

Well

It certainly sounds very Halloweenish and spooky. Perfect for a halloween flash (too bad I fail at flash).

Obviously this is not something I would ever listen to voluntarily like in my car or something, but like I said, as far as for a flash it's perfect. The only criticism I could really give you would be that some of the volume changes seemed a bit extreme. I have stereo headphones and and when the volume cranked up I was like WOAH, had to turn down the volume. Not a big deal though, and other than that - good work.

Jaspeer responds:

Yeah. Thanks for the great review. The dramatic volume changes, we're pretty dramatic. But i guess i liked it that way.

Not bad

Although this certainly isn't my type of music, and I would never listen to it voluntarily, it is good. Seems like you did a really good job with it and I'm not sure why it has such a low score. It almost looks like people were just voting unfairly, so I just want to let you know it's not that bad at all.

I'm guessing that's probably why you asked for constructive criticism on this track, so I'm just trying to explain what I think happened, lol. It's a great track and deserves a MUCH higher score that a .80, that's ridiculous. I would think at least a 2 if I had to vote, but I'm giving you a 5 to make up for the unfair votes. Keep up the good work regardless.

Stargenx responds:

Thanks for the review! :)

lol

This totally sounds epic. Right away I remembered that you were the same artist that made the desert tune. Seems like you kinda have a certain sound I suppose. I could totally see this being used in a flash game menu or flash movie. It sounds like a bunch of soldiers gearing up for an epic battle. Like I can see them waving to their families as they sail out of distance to war, or something like that, lol.

This does sound a bit generic, but I think that's probably a good thing because I don't think many people could pull off that generic battle sound that you have here. Keep up the good work.

BrokenDeck responds:

Thanks! Yeah this and the new version of Desert Journey were done after a recent upgrade to my system. New sounds and hardware. Thanks for taking the time to write so much for the review man!

Well

Right off the bat the guitar riff is awesome. The beginning vocals are a tad bit quiet and not as clear as they should be. As a matter of fact the audio quality really isn't that clear either, but it's not like I expect you to have a producer or anything...

The song has potential I'd say, it just needs to be produced. Like I said, the beginning guitar riff is pure gold, and the lyrics don't seem too cheesy either, they seem alright. You seem to have a good singing voice too, I just don't think this recording does justice at all.

When you get to the chorus I wouldn't strum the guitar harder either, just seems kinda pointlessly dramatic for a chill song like this. I do like the song name though, hybrid rainbow totally sounds catchy. Hopefully some of this feedback helps you. Keep up the good work.

Ryanson responds:

The reason I strummed it harder was I though I'd be going all out, screaming, during that part. When I didn't... it was too late to go back with starting everything over. Still, I thank you for your honest review!

wtf

Well I would say you definitely accomplished your mission. This is extremely weird sounding with all the elements that you put into it, but you seemed to blend it all together decently.

Not really my type of thing, but you totally pulled it off I would say.

TheUprising1 responds:

Thanks!
And lol, this was actually my first song I started with the concept "Let's see how many genres I can fit in one song". Alot of them, apparently. xD

Not bad

It's a decent song and very easy to just chill and space out too. That's pretty much what I did the whole time I listened to it. This is totally not my type of music at all, and I usually don't get into it, but this is a beautiful piece, very easy to listen to.

Keep up the good work.

TheUprising1 responds:

Thank you, I definitely will!
This was supposed to be a chill song anyways, good thing it worked, lol.

Woah

The beginning riff is great but it sounds like you cranked the volume up WAY too high and it's just distorted as hell and sounds awful. The weird noises in the background are kinda distracting as well. Other than that, I CAN hear a beautiful trance song playing somewhere in the madness ;)

Like the guy below me said, "Well composed but not brilliantly produced." I don't think I can put it much better than that. The insane amount of clipping is really distracting. I think if you cleaned this up it would be an easy 9 or 10 track.

Phyortek responds:

I will definitly definitly give it more work, and thanks for the amazing review :-)
I was trying to give my lead a sharp sound, but it cracks and is a little offensive...
Gotta work a little more...

Thanks again

I develop stuff.
