Meh

While your effort is admirable, it seems like there's a ton of stuff missing from this to make it overly interesting, and I can spot some parts where there are discolored pixels still in the image. It's good for Paint, but really if you wanted to make something cool you probably shouldn't be using paint at all...

The buildings look okay, and to be honest the flames look great. The smoke cloud is legit, and the burning debris is pretty convincing too. The problem I see is the lack of space usage. Most of the image is a blank green field, which is just an odd setting for the tall skyscrapers to be in. I could see if there were roads and people and cars, but it looks like some buildings in the middle of nowhere.

The sun was a nice touch, but the rest of the sky looks rather barren. I think some clouds would have been nice, or maybe some more smoke from the explosion. It's also a bit confusing what is causing all the chaos. There's a huge explosion to the right of the buildings, but I'm not really sure if that was a bomb or a fallen building. I don't see any planes that could have dropped the bombs, or any roads for a terrorist to have reached the city. It could obviously use some more art to give it a better theme in my opinion.

Overall what you have here looks good so far, but seems to be lacking a lot to make a complete picture of a nuclear holocaust. Keep at it though.

Yeah, you're right. My only motive fr the effort was pure boredom. I made it months before i decided to post it.

Her again!

Jeez, she is just everywhere isn't she? I played through a whole game with her, and I think I've reviewed 3 drawings of her as well, lol.

This drawing is interesting, for a start. I too originally was wondering what the deal was with the perspective. I'm no artist, and this is way better than I could ever do, but I will say that the perspective here is quite confusing. It's easy to think that she's a giant because nothing really has depth to make you think the mountains are far away. I'm going to assume this is mostly due to the fact that the ground is a straight line for as far as we can really see...

I don't really have any complaints other than that. Your style is quite interesting. I like the zombie duck in the water, and the lillypad. Other than the perception issue, the background looks great, and the crazy purple sky was an interesting idea.

As for my comment earlier, I don't mind seeing this character more either. I kinda like her actually, and the crazy places you draw her.

Oh, and thanks for uploading a HUGE illustration! lol. Keep up the great work.

Merol responds:

She is? I've just submitted another drawing of her, and you didn't review it. Maybe it was fanart? i'd love to see it if it was!

Those are small rocks and they look very close to her because they are!
I think what makes it confusing are the trees, they should look to be more far away.

Glad you like her.

THANKS A LOT FOR YOUR REVIEW!!

Very good

This one certainly looks like a flower arrangement to me. As usual, your method of abstract art is seemingly flawless. The colors used are very pleasing to look at.

Not your best piece, I wouldn't say, but still very good. Something I wouldn't mind having hanging in the bathroom. I love the textured look, and the emptiness in the top right corner seems totally warranted.

The way the white seems to bleed through is interesting, and almost seems a bit overpowering, but adds an almost 'glowing' feel to this one.

Very good as usual, keep it up.

Hacsev responds:

You must have quite a large bathroom.

Impressive

When I look at this, the first thing I see is a nice nature scene. The more I stare at it, the more I'm impressed because I start to realize all this is...is a bunch of colored lines. When you study the picture, it looks sloppy really...just sloppy brushes without real precision. However, it's interesting what you did with pure slop, I must admit.

The colors you used strike me well, but as far as attention to detail, there wasn't much here. You used rather large sized brushes, and make a very general scene here. Good -yes. Amazing - no.

Overall the fact that this is even something discernible as an image of something is impressive to me. Something like this makes a true artist, in my opinion. It's sloppy, and you can see where each and every stroke was still - but also see a scene, which I think is neat.

As far as personal tastes go, I would have like to see something with more attention to detail and precision, but I still admire the style you've used and the digital painting that you've created here.

I look forward to seeing more of your work - keep it up.

Thanks for the review! I will try and detail more but it was already night time when I made this so when I woke up, I was kind of lazy and just added a couple more things then wrapped it up. Yeah, when I started noticing how sloppy it was, it was kind of weird. I might use a different style next time I make ipad art. But thanks so much for the review. I really appreciate it.

Wow

I don't get how you do it, you're just too good at abstract art. The top half just gives me this totally creepy and unsettling feeling. It feels chaotic and scary. The lower right looks like freedom to me. It looks like a gateway into a much calmer and peaceful place and I think the man in the lower left knows this and wants to go there and get out of the terrifying area he's in.

It's an amazing piece with a million different ways you can interpret it, but this is what I feel from it. It's amazing work. Keep it up.

Hacsev responds:

All your reactions and your interpretations are very welcome, since they are sincere manifestations from a viewer who truly admires this piece.

A great piece

I wish I could have this hanging in my room. It's a rather long piece, which makes viewing on a computer difficult, but I'm sure in real life it looks fantastic. The colors in this one are good, and the art is very interesting to look at. In this one I see a few animals for some reason, lol.

Amazing as usual. Keep up the good work.

Hacsev responds:

I can't really prove there are animals in some of the shapes you see, because I paint in a way in which I voluntarily avoid representation, but I cannot deny their presence either. You're right that it must be seen in person to be fully appreciated.

The last piece of cake! Whoooo wants it?

Once again, much like the mushroom, this is very good. The shading is great and the colors you chose work very well, plus this one is a lot less rough around the edges, but up by the cherry it's still a bit pixelated. I don't think the rough look looks very good and if I were you I'd try to smooth those edges out somehow, most likely by shrinking the image.

I keep seeing people refer to this as "pixel art" but I'm quite confused by that because every thing I've ever made period is pixel art, but none of it looks rough like this...it's only when you zoom in on the image or make it large that the edges are noticeable like that, so maybe you could fill me in on the scoop with that...Isn't anything drawn on a computer pixel art...period?

Anyway, it looks like a pretty good cake! Keep up the good work.

EventHorizon responds:

thanks!

Nice

The colors on this are nice, and I'm surprised at how big the image is. The fact that it's so rough around the edges is the first thing I noticed. If I were you, I would definitely consider smoothing that out, or shrinking the image. If the edges weren't so pixelated, I think this would look a lot better.

The colors are very nice, however, and the shading is quite good. Keep up the good work.

EventHorizon responds:

Thanks for your review and for your advice!

Amazing

As far as abstract art goes, I don't think you can ask for much more. This piece has a very complete feel to it. Regardless of what area I'm looking at, it's a total mindfuck. As far as the center of the piece, I see a small devil, and I'm sure most people will as well. The rest is very abstract and thought provoking as well as very pleasing to the eyes. The colors you used seem to be just about the perfect blend in just the right places.

Not much to really critique about it really. It's abstract beauty at its finest. Keep up the fantastic work.

Hacsev responds:

Thanks to you and to all the reviewers. I do believe in beauty in art. There has to be some sense of joy in every work I create and I like that it stimulates the imagination.

Fantastic

Splendid artwork jolly ol chap. Everything you've drawn seems to be very convincing and accurate. The girl hanging from the chain was drawn rather well, despite her lack of nipples. Her hair looks especially well drawn and I like the glare you've put on it.

The background you drew was certainly a nice touch and seems very fitting and appropriate, as well as interesting.

The various different hands are probably my favorite part about it, especially the hand holding someone else's severed arm, lol. That and the Dr. Seuss looking hand and also the robot. A nice variety of different types makes the area very interesting to look at. Hell, I'd probably have my arm out there too tryin to score me a piece! Lol! Keep up the great work.
