Hmm

This doesn't really strike me as artistic at all. You've carved two boxes into a pumpkin, one bigger than the other, and written "Tall 'n Short" on it with a sharpie. My only problem with that is that anybody could do that. I could walk outside right now and create this same exact pumpkin in about 5 minutes. There's nothing complex or intriguing about it.

Sorry, but I just don't understand this at all.

ZJ responds:

You could have done any bit of art. Hypothetically, you could have painted the Mona Lisa or whatever, given enough time. The fact is that you didn't do it. I did.

Hmm

Well the scene is nice but this doesn't really give me that 'wow' factor I would expect. I've seen this style done before but on a scene like this it almost just looks like a small child painted it. Most of the rocks down by the water are just a blend of 3 different colors and difficult to distinguish what's really down there. The fence looks rather inconsistent and sloppy. The trees, grass, hill, and sky all look okay, but the houses on them look a bit malformed. The whole painting just has a very sloppy feel to me.

Sorry, but this one just isn't for me. It just has a very amateur look to it, in my opinion. Your effort has been noted though. Keep at it.

Joshsouza responds:

Yeah, I guess you are right, but the fence really IS like that. I already failed at this same painting before. I will try not to make another like this.

Nice

I have seen better abstract pieces for sure, but this is very good. The only thing that bothers me about this is that I can't really stop focusing on what I'm making out as a face. It seems to be the only part that really grabs me and it kinda looks like a transformer or something. I think if the face wasn't so pronounced it would give me a better abstract, 'get lost in the painting' feel.

The colors you used are nice, and seem to go together pretty well. In fact, I would have no problem hanging this somewhere in the house. I think it would compliment the other abstract paintings we have quite well.

This doesn't really strike me as extraordinary, but rather an above average abstract piece. Although I'm not sitting here totally awestruck by it, I will admit it is indeed a good painting. Keep up the good work. I'd love to see some more stuff you could come up with.

Wow, thanks so much for that review SeeD419! :)

Hrm

So I accidentally right clicked one of her boobs, and Opera gave me the option to "Inspect Element." Needless to say, I seriously considered the offer ;)

The picture is amazing, as it basically looks totally real. Amazing job with this. Her shirt is especially sexy. Only a half zip away from no shirt at all! ;)

She looks like a total badass, and she's hott. What more could a guy ask for?

Wow

Impossible not to give you a 10 for this. The art itself is very well drawn, and the scene is awesome. Just bursting through the glass and raining down fire, an epic action scene. I like the color scheme quite a bit. Seems rather appropriate. The amount of detail that you put into this seems just about right. Not over the edge, but just enough to make it look stylish. The guns look badass the way they're drawn and I do like the shine effect on them, not to mention the insane amount of shading in the entire image. Gives real depth to it and looks really good. Also, I love the shells raining down =) Fantastic idea.

Keep up the good work!

Nice!

Well this was obviously done well. The shading in this piece is just amazing. It really adds just loads of effect and depth to the picture when you shade a characters face and all around the helmet like you did. Just awesome.

The man himself was drawn very well, and his facial expression is funny. The background just looks great and I can see you've done shading back there as well.

The sign isn't anything extraordinary, but once again, you shaded it and it looks great.

Dude you are seriously just the shading master. No joke. The long lost greek god of shading - Blounty. I can't even really give you any advice for this piece. It looks fantastic. I suppose maybe you could have added a bit of roughness to the guy, maybe some facial hair of body texture, but I suppose I'm reaching a bit here because the picture looks good without it.

Regardless, keep up the good work.

Blounty responds:

I spent more time shading than drawing so thanks for noticing.

lol

Well I assumed that was a fisherman in a boat before I read your comments ;) So good work on that! I like this painting a lot. The scene was thought out well, and executed just as well. The sky and the hillside both look great, and it even looks like you tried to capture the reflection of the sky in the water in the far end of the painting, which is really cool. The sand on the side of the hill and the different colors in the water really add a lot of different things to look at in this painting, which is cool.

Probably my favorite part about this painting is the perspective. I feel like I'm really standing right on the edge of the lake by that big tree and it just feels like a comfortable place to stand. As if I'm enjoying a view of the lake while enjoying the shade of a tree on a warm summer day.

Nice. Keep up the good work.

Joshsouza responds:

Thanks for all of the nice words, although, is there anything that I could work on? ( PM me if you want to reply)

Wow

What a piece. Where to begin? Well the background just looks insane. I just can't decide if I'm looking into a black hole or the moon, lol. Whatever that thing is, it looks badass and I like it. The shading you did around the edges really paid off and the effect is just awesome.

The foreground looks pretty sweet. I'm glad that I can actually tell that it's the foreground, I'm not sure how really, but you drew it in such a way that you get a spacial feel for where things are, which is awesome. The strange...plants? vines? hell i don't know what they are but the things in the foreground look great. Not too random and not too organized. Looks perfect really.

The girl was drawn well, also. The legs look proportionate in this one and her whole body is nice and curvy. Once again, you drew her hair amazingly. The scissors you drew really add a dark twist to the image. I tried to imagine the image without them and it's just not at all the same and almost boring, so I'm glad you added the element of darkness in here. It really completes this piece and as a whole it's fantastic.

I suppose there's a couple other things I could see you adding here, maybe a pool of blood would have been cool, but as it stands it's still an amazing project. Good work with this keep it up!

Merol responds:

THANKS A LOT!!
The background it's actually more like the light at the end of the tunnel.
Heh, I'm glad you liked the scissors.
Hmm, i'm not sure about the blood, but thanks for the suggestion.

I don't really know what else to say, so, THANKS A LOT FOR YOUR REVIEW!!

Wow

Pretty amazing piece. By the looks of this, this is a freehand project? It doesn't look like computer art at all, but I could be wrong...just wondering. The background just looks epic. From the clouds to the water, you did a great job drawing both and the color in the picture is amazing. Especially the coloring in the waves and the rain, very convincing. The girl looks pretty good, not amazing I wouldn't say but pretty damn good. Her face almost looks manly or stern so I'm not really sure I like that, that and her legs don't really look quite finished. Not sure if it's a shading issue with those or maybe they just aren't curved right, but I think you could have done a tad better on drawing her legs.

Her hair looks amazing though. The length is great and it's drawn just about perfect. One of your strong points I can see. Her hands and whole upper body seem very proportionate and convincing. You did an amazing job there.

Overall a great piece. A couple flaws I personally see, but nothing short of amazing regardless. Keep up the good work, I'd love to see more from you.

Merol responds:

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!
Yes, i made it by hand.
The legs doesn't seem very wrong to me. Maybe they aren't curved right as you say.
I'm glad you liked it!
THANKS AGAIN!!!

haha

I liked this one a lot better. The humor in this was actually pretty damn funny at two different points. The totally pointless staring contest was good, the cigar part, and the ending was actually pretty funny. Much better than part 1 in my opinion. It seemed there was a lot more substance in this part than in the previous, and I'm glad you added a different face and some props. It's just enjoyable to see things drawn in these besides just peoples faces.

Keep up the good work I'd love to see more of these.

Iplaygames responds:

Drawing in different things = good. I'll keep that in mind...

Thanks dude.
